Q: Will there be color difference between the top and other areas when Polystone is refitted?

A: A sheet of Polystone is in the same color and of the same material, and this is why Polystone is seamless in joints, uniform as a whole, easy to refit and durable in use.

Q: What is the best way for daily care of Polystone?

A: It can be cleaned with fine gauze with soap and water. The commonly used glass cleansers are the best agent to keep Polystone surface clean and shiny. Please refer to Maintenance section for further information.

Q: Is it true that some colors are more durable than others?

A: No, it isn¨t true, although light colors look not too bright and needs less maintenance. Polystone of any color provides you with years of reliable service.

Q: The area with scratches or nicks I made when using a lightweight cleaner without due care looks far less lustrous. What should I do?
A: The better cleaner you use, the more lustrous Polystone becomes. If you want it bright and clean, the best way is to use a good cleaner, for example a white polisher with water, to clean it along with other parts of the top, and then wipe it dry with a soft rag.

Q: Can I put a sink into the top already installed?

A: Absolutely, but measurements need to be taken to make sure they match each other. Please consult the local fabricator.

.....................................................................
Q: Do I need to select the sink and the tap before the top is installed?

A: We would recommend that you select them before the fabricator processes the top although there are some universal models or sizes.

......................................................................
Q: My idea of close up is different from the proposals in Polystone website and brochures. Are there any other alternatives?

A: Sure. The proposals we recommend are the ones most commonly adopted by the majority of fabricators. You may communicate your ideas to the local fabricator so they can design according to your requirements.

.......................................................................
Q: Can I place raw vegetables or raw meat on Polystone when I cook?

A: Sure! Polystone is free of chink, so there is nowhere for bacteria or pathogens to hide. It is NSF certified and allowed for direct contact with food. However, we would still recommend you clean it before use and do not put other food where raw meat is present until the position is completely cleaned. Cleaning with diluted domestic disinfectant will provide extra health protection.

A: A duly trained licensed fabricator. The licensed fabricator will ensure that your counter top is correctly installed and fully guaranteed.

.....................................................................
Q: Can I buy Polystone materials, fabricate and install them by myself?

A: Yes, but it is recommended that fabrication and installation are conducted by a Polystone-licensed installer/fabricator.

.....................................................................
Q: Where can I find a local fabricator or obtain the sample of a color?

A: Find the distributor closest to you first. The distributor will connect you to the retailer and the fabricator in your area, who will help you with the installation.

.....................................................................
Q: The fabricator left me a small sheet of Polystone as chopping panel, but what I heard is cutting cannot be done directly on Polystone. Can I use this chopping panel?
A: If the chopping panel is made of a separate sheet of Polystone, you may use it, but nicks will be inevitable. So you definitely cannot cut on your table.

.....................................................................
Q: How will the luster of a fully processed Polystone counter top appear?

A: Polystone can be processed to be dull finishes, semi-gloss surfaces and high-gloss surfaces. The distributor will recommend the best luster that meets your needs.

.....................................................................
Q: Can Polystone be used for floor?

A: Although it has been used on stairway surface, we would not recommend it for floor. Wearing and nicks can be reduced only on big-particle color Polystone.

.....................................................................

Q: I heard that a hot pan could scorch solid surface material. How can I prevent heat damage?

A: Polystone is heat resistant and remains stable and undamaged under the temperature of 100<C; however, high temperature and flame may impair the counter top at any rate. This kind of damage can be fixed under most circumstances, but please put on a heat insulation pad or a spider in order to protect the counter top when using it. You may also install several heat insulation bar steel by the cooking range, where a hot pan can be placed without worry.
